Going into the combined Premier #2, the team earned the #5 ranking and was ready to meet the challenge of the northern teams along with the challengers of the south. The girls used Premier #1 and the US trip to really focus their efforts on elevating their game and bring some consistency on the court. Looking to become stingy on defense and a little more versatile on offense we wanted teams to have to work harder to score points. Unforeseen barriers, including injuries, created some unfortunate obstacles that the team had difficulties pushing through. This was the first time that the girls faced adversity that they had not prepared for in training; great insight was provided post tournament and they are motivated to learn from this experience and move forward with new strategies. Training with a new focus has been made by the team as a whole which will allow us to set some new standards with lofty goals we feel confident we can achieve.
