Carolina Alongi had a standout performance during Saturday’s match to close out their series against the MacEwan University Griffins.

Despite a 3-1 loss to GMU, Alongi paced the Cougars attack with 12 kills, 10 digs, 1 assist and an ace – earning her ‘Player of the Game’ honours.

Carolina captained her 403 Selects club teams for the past two seasons before attending Mount Royal University in the fall. She experienced a decorated high school career including being named the Myrna Empey Scholarship Award recipient as the top high school volleyball player in the city.

We wish Carolina luck next weekend against Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops, BC) and all the best in the rest of her career!
