I have been around the game of volleyball for an extended period of time, both as a professional player as well as a coach.

My professional playing career was spent playing in Romania, between 1989 and 2003, highlighted by a championship win in 1993 and runner-ups in 1994 and 1996. Throughout this period, my team also participated in several European Cups, playing against different clubs around Europe.

I graduated from National Academy of Physical Education and Sport Bucharest, Romania in 1996, with specialization volleyball. My coaching career began in 1998 and continued until 2003. During this period I coached U13-U16 boys club volleyball.

In 2003, we moved to Canada where after a few years, I continued to be involved in coaching with Elite West Volleyball Club – as an assistant coach from 2007 to 2015 (U16-U18-boys).
