Julia has been around the sport of volleyball her whole life. She grew up watching her sister play CIS and National Team Volleyball until she started playing herself. Julia started playing club volleyball at the age of 12 where she found her passion for the game. During her time on the court she played on successful Club Teams, the Alberta Provincial Team, Canada Selects, and CIS Volleyball for Thompson Rivers University from 2012-2017. During her time as a player she found the value and importance not only in being a good volleyball player, but being a good teammate, student, and active volunteer in the community.

Julia’s love for the game is what has sparked her interest from transitioning from a player to a coach. She hopes to bring her playing experience to help guide and mentor future athletes to not only become great individual players, but great teammates, students, and active members in the Calgary community.  Julia has an energetic approach to coaching and hopes to instil confidence, fight, and fun into all her athletes game.
