Well, we’re movin’ on up…

This past weekend saw lots of movement in the very large pool of teams at our age division, and we were fortunately a part of it in a good way.  Saturday’s round robin offered some challenges, and some of the challenges we created ourselves, particularly in the serving department.  Overall, we were still able to come out on top of our pool, then win our crossover.  The girls started strong on Sunday morning, getting some good blocks, and a win meant we were headed for top four.  Pandas and SAVC would be next, and both had a score to settle from previous losses to us. We were not able to sustain the streak, but still managed a great showing of fourth overall.  Coach Carsten has assured us that the road to the next AVA and Provincials will be much tougher, and there is much work to be done to keep up with the top teams.  The importance of being “flexible and adaptable” and being “comfortable with being uncomfortable” (often heard at 403) as well as increased physical conditioning are on the agenda for the next few weeks!
