Day One

This past weekend marked the first VA Premier for the 16U girls. There was excitement in the air as pool play began on Saturday morning at the Junior Varsity Training Centre in Calgary. 403 earned a 1st place pool victory after games against the Bowden Diggers (25-5, 25-11) Rocky Mountain Volleyball Club (25-10, 25-12) and SEAVC Rattlers (25-14, 25-9). They were able to enjoy a two game break before their crossover match against Sylvan Lake Wave.

Things started off tight before the 403’s were able to emerge victorious in 2 sets with 25-11 & 25-14 wins.

Day Two

Day 2 started with gameplay at the Crescent Point Fieldhouse in Aldersyde. 403 met up with the Cougars 16U in the quarterfinals. This proved to be an intense and exciting game! After a 27-29 loss and a 25-22 win, the Cougar’s emerged with a 15-13 3rd set win. The girls continued their play at Westmount School in Okotoks against TSAVC (25-9, 25-17) and Ace Black (25-14, 25-17). Winning all 4 sets clinched them a 5th place finish.
