We knew it was going to be a tough weekend and it was. The top pool-we may not have managed a win but we took our worthy opponents to 3 sets each time in the round robin. This meant facing Seven Persons Wolves in the crossover-the most unfortunate time to struggle with putting it all together. Another loss ended the first day of competition. Sunday offered an opportunity to start fresh and the girls took it, winning both matches. This fortunate turn of events means a place in Division 1 for Provincials.
>> Coach Carsten reflected on the challenges of this weekend: Overall the team has a feeling of relief after both wins on Sunday and thus staying in Div. 1…but much deeper is the feeling of unhappiness of not finishing some of our closer matches vs. Dino’s, Pandas, Shock and Coults…this will results in increased work ethic and preparation for provincial…determination and hard work!!!
