The 14U Selects were on the road again this weekend, driving up to Edmonton for the Bump Set Spike and NAVC 15U Pre-Season Tournament.  The day began bright and early for the girls at the Saville Centre and they started by splitting their first match (25-20, 21-25) against SAS U15B. In a back-to-back second match, the girls lost a very close first set on their way to a two set loss (23-25, 14-25) to the eventual winners of the tournament, NAVC Gold.

Lacombe Thunder was up next and much like the last time they met, the 403 14Us split the sets (18-25, 25-23).  Another back-to-back game followed with Park Heat and the Selects dropped both sets (25-27, 19-25) to close out the morning.

In the afternoon the girls went on to play some solid volleyball, winning their first two consolation playoff matches to set up a re-match with SAS U15B in the consolation final. After a long day in the gym, the players showed they were up to the challenge – dominating in their play and taking the consolation final in two straight sets (25-14, 25-5).

The team now has its sights set on the first VA premier. Thanks coaches and parents for supporting another great tournament for the girls.
