The U14 team has participated in a number of tournaments in preparation for their first AVA in mid-March.  In early February the team played in a U14 Volleydome tournament where they started to make progress playing as a team.   Great learning and teaching experience for both the players and coaching staff.   In late February the team attended a one day U15 tournament at Rally Pointe.  The team improved their play throughout the day and ended very strong finishing 7th in a pack of 19 teams.

Early March saw the team attend the Yeti tournament in Edmonton.  The U14 girls had an excellent weekend in Edmonton. The team started the tournament off on the right foot Saturday, winning all three of their matches. The tournament hosted a radar measured hitting competition where our own Payton Keating won with a top speed of 65km/h. Sunday morning the girls won their final round robin match, finishing first in their pool heading into playoffs. The team continued to play well and won both their cross over and semi-final matches. The girls fought a tough final match against NAVC Gold losing in the third set 15-11 to receive the silver medal. All of the players had a great weekend and performed exceptionally well. The coaches were very pleased with the performance and are looking forward to seeing NAVC again in the first AVA March 17th and 18th.
