After some determined practice sessions and hard game play over the past month, the U13 entered their VA premier #2 tournament aiming to see how they now stacked up to the competition. They got off to solid start in pool play by going undefeated, and finished Saturday with a solid 2 set win over the Jags Force in their crucial crossover game. After a quick start in their quarter file match against the Ravens, the first set came in close with a 25-23 win for 403. After seeing the girls fall behind early in set two, a quick time out by coach Elise got the girls back on track to take the match. Once again 403 would meet the Pandas in the semi-finals of a Premier, but this time with some fire in their belly. With determined play and hard serving, they came back after losing the first set 25-22 to take the second set 25-10. The third set showcased superb ball play and determination from both teams as they swapped leads late into the set. After being down 15-14, 403 came back to win the match 17-15! Yowsers that was close.  Close finishes continued with 403 winning the first set of the finals against St-Albert Saints 28-26. After the dropping the second set, the stage was set for another third set game. The girls have to be proud with a very close 15-13 loss to team that played really well. Congrats girls and coaches on a VA Premier Silver Medal.
