The 13U girls headed to Okotoks this past weekend to participate in the Peak Volleyball Tournament. Their pool consisted of Canada West Blue (14U), TSAVC (14U), and Ace Aces (14U). The first game of the day started off great with a first set win against Canada West Blue. After a second set loss, they went on to play TSAVC and came out losing two sets straight. The next game was against Ace where they won the first set and lost the second. Overall the girls came out third in their pool. Last game of the day was the crossover against the Peak 14U team. After a two set straight loss, we were done for the day. It was an overall tough day for the girls against the older teams but what a great learning experience.

Sunday morning they were back on the court to play Canada West Black. After losing the first set, they battled back and went on to win the second, forcing a third. In the third set, the girls just couldn’t get enough going and unfortunately ended up losing. With that, the girls were done for the day.

Although the girls had quite a few losses, most of the games were close and they really held their own against the older girls. Hold your heads high girls and use this to light the fire for Provincials next weekend in Edmonton!
