Six huge venues hosted 44 teams who arrived from all over Alberta and parts of British Columbia for the first Volleyball Alberta Premier tournament of the season. It was an incredible first tournament for the 13U teams! The final matches were played out at the Junior Varsity Centre on Sunday. The 403 Selects 13U Black Team were victorious with 3-0 matches on Day 1 of the tournament!! This successful play allowed them to advance to an eventual 13th place finish.

Day One 

The first game of the tournament was against EKVC Avalanche. During their first match, 403 Selects Black demonstrated their strong communication skills. They were victorious in taking all three sets; 25-15, 25-14, 15-6! The second game against CAQVC Supreme from Central Alberta was also a BLACK out! The girls won all three sets; 25-14, 25-16 and 15-4! The final match within their pool was against SAS Green. 13U Black once again dominated with scores of 26-24, 25-22 and 15-9. This 3-0 victory, advanced 403 Selects Black to the crossover game against Crusaders. The girls battled for a spot in the top 8, but lost in two sets.

Day Two 

13U 403 Selects Black had the first scheduled match of day two at the VA Premier.  The girls lost their first match, but had a rewarding finish to the tournament with a winning match against PARK ! The girls finished 13th overall! 13U Black had an amazing weekend and are getting ready to play in their second VA Premier in Edmonton at the end of March.
