Day 1

The 13U 403 Selects – Black were off to a roaring start on Saturday. They managed to finish their pool with only one dropped set, and a record of 3-0. After a trip from Genesis Centre to Rally Pointe, they faced Canuck Red in their crossover match. Dropping the first set 20-25, they were able to come back and emerge victorious, winning the second and third sets.

Day 2

The level of play and intensity increased on Sunday as 403 Selects – Black faced off against Pandas Kaizen in the quarter final match. They rose to the challenge with a 25-13, 25-20 win over a very strong team. In the semi-final match, SPVC played almost flawlessly to down 403 2-1. A meeting with another Pandas team in the Bronze medal match was a tight one. Ultimately, the Pandas were a little too much for a tired 403 team, winning 2-1.

 

Ultimately, it was an extremely positive, exciting, intense, and fun-filled weekend for 403 Selects – Black. A great deal of team bonding fostered relationships essential to their productivity on the court. It was an excellent and positive way to end a season of hard work.
